Five for Friday - 10-4 Good Buddy
FIVE FOR FRIDAY OCTOBER 4th
5. 'Flip'ed Solutions -- I was able to see a really cool use of FlipGrid in Mrs. Kahafer's class. Students were recording how to solve some fairly complex math problems. What a great way to master a concept; making a quick video explanation/tutorial for others!
4. Meeting Our Makers -- Mrs. Smith and Mrs. Sikkema's classes had some great experiences in our MakerSpace lab the past week and a half. It's always great to see the union of teacher creativity, with student creativity and hands on activities connected to learning targets!
3. SWEET Science -- Mrs. Potter and Mrs. Meredith's students capped off a cool series of science labs and experiments on erosion. It culminated in a highly relevant activity with them testing various erosion prevention materials.
2. Walking Their Talk -- Mr Reynolds had his students deeply engaged in a cool activity on how they would take more responsibility and accountability for the academic talk in his classroom. It was neat to watch the plans the students were coming up with as they tried to take ownership of their roles in their learning.
1. Clean as a Whistle -- Big shout out to Mrs. Shipley's class for emptying and taking out class trash on #NationalCustodianDay to make the day brighter for our super custodians Shannon and Kevin!
