Four For Friday - Back from Break!
4. True Success - I was able to spend some time in Stacy Sikkema's class this week and watch her masterfully use the "True Success" curriculum that we have access to use and pilot the remainder of the year. The days lesson was on developing GRIT a nice theme to start on at the beginning of a new semester!
3. 40 Ways To Promote Great Readers - I was able to have a fantastic conversation with Teresa Michalski about a cool thing her class is doing. They've been working on a "40 Book Challenge." Love the opportunity for them to have voice and choice over what they read while still having some parameters and accountability!
2. Smitten with the Mitten - Diane Knight entered a cool contests to make table tents that would be displayed at this year's Iditarod. Her concept won, and she' had our students working on them this week. They're mitten shaped positive messages made by our students.
1. If The Real Thing Won't Do The Trick - Then you better think of something quick, and Jamie Kellogg sure did just that. Using Skype Virtual Field Trip her class went on a tour of the South Carolina Aquarium and have a Q&A session with their guide. I was blown away by the students' questions!
