HERE ARE 5 HIGHLIGHTS FROM ANOTHER AMAZING WEEK... 5. "A Picture is Worth..." Picture day went incredibly well! Grateful for everyone's help making it go so smoothly. 4. Don't Go Chasing Waterfalls -  Just a shout out for how well you all handled the water damage from the construction leaks. Mrs. Potter and Mrs. Keizer were incredibly flexible in moving their rooms. Interventions were great about shifting their location, and the rest of the staff was incredibly accommodating. THANKFUL FOR EVERYONE'S EFFORTS! 3. SOCK It To Me - Our Student Council has launched into action. They will be running a SOCKtober sock drive. Students can bring donations into their class now through Nov. 6th. BONUS - I got to fill in for Mrs. Sikkema while she met with StuCo reps. It's always fun to jump back in the classroom. 2. Chalk it Up to Science -  Our 4th grade classes have been doing a really cool experiment with chalk. It's all about discovering how landforms and the Ea...

HERE ARE JUST 5 OF THE MANY AMAZING THINGS THAT HAPPENED HERE AT PAGE THIS WEEK! 5. When Kindness Blooms - Huge shoutout to local gem Creekside Growers. They sent Debbie and Keri a beautiful arrangement of flowers to spread kindness! 4. Math Mindset - I've been doing teacher observations and couldn't help but notice a great display of 'Growth Mindset' in classrooms. One of the best examples was in Mrs. Schrader's room. Students were incredibly comfortable talking through mistakes they made then explaining what to do differently next time.  3. In Full Swing - Shout out to our Grounds crew and our PTO. With funds from PTO our grounds crew was able to replace some equipment that was near the end of its life. So great to see everyone's effort to keep things #TKStrong 2. Conference Call - I want to take a moment to give a shout-out to everyone involved in our first ever "Virtual Parent Teacher Conferences." I know this was different and not without chall...

Five For Friday - October 9 5. Where Have All The Good Times Gone - Sorry this has little to do with Page and education. It was incredibly sad to learn on my way home from Page Tuesday that Eddie Van Halen passed away. He was nearly single handedly responsible for getting me to love hard rock as a child. 4. Spirited Students - Blown away by the spirit our students and staff showed this week. Spirit weeks are always fun especially with such a good group that had fun while keeping it classy. 3. Daring Greatly - Mrs. Sikkema and Mrs. Schneider, our Student Council advisors, had classrooms elect two StuCo representatives per class this week. Students that wanted to run gave speeches then each class voted. Really impressed by the caliber of future leaders here at Page. 2. STATE YOUR NAME - I was able to observe multiple 4th grade students from several classes using a cool app “ChatterPix” to record a voice over presentation on a US state that they researched. 1. When Push Comes t...
