Five for Friday 1-22-21

Here are just 5 of the incredible things that happened at Page this week...

5. You Can Measure Height..-But you can't measure heart. Mrs. Michalski's class got a frisbee stuck in the roof gutter during recess. A few of her students and I collaborated, and decided what we lacked in height, we could make up for in heart and creative problem solving 😉I was just happy to help!

4. MAP-ping It Out - We mostly wrapped up our NWEA MAP testing this week. I remain in awe of the amazing job our teachers and students do each day growing through a pandemic. The initial results are impressive considering everything that has gone on the last 9-10 months!

3. Snow YAY - Sorry, but even principals get excited about the first snow day of the year!

2. Let It Rip - A few of our 4th Grade classes have started a cool series of science experiments to learn about energy in a mechanical system and a few o principles of Newtonian physics. In particular I got to see Mrs. Keizer's students as they were looking at changing a variable (the ramp) to impact the motion of an object

1. Helping Hands - On Monday as one way of celebrating and honoring Dr. King, students reflected on how they themselves can lend a hand to making his dream come true. It's wonderful to see their 'hands' decorating classroom doors and our halls.
