Five For Friday the Fifth!
It's been another great week at Page, but don't take my word for it. Check out just FIVE of the many amazing things going on here!
5. Donors Choose! - 5th Grade Teacher Mrs. Schneider applied for a DonorsChoose grant for a project on where the Red Fern Grows. Grateful this happened and excited to see the work this class will do!
4. WINning- Mrs. Witt has been using our Reading Street program to differentiate for and in this case extend some of her high level readers. Using the "Inquiry: Extended Concepts" part of Reading Street students researched and presented information about historic wildfires this week and their Google Slide presentations turned out great!
3. It's a Figure of Speech - For part of March is Reading Month several of our 5th grade classes had students dress up as "idioms." Pictured here are several students and Ms. Corey and Ms. Schrader.
1. All 'MAP'ped out - Today was a 1/2 day for teacher professional development. Part of their time was spent analyzing NWEA MAP testing data. As the building's instructional leader I could not be more proud of our staff and students. The overall results, during a pandemic are simply outstanding. While there are some sub scores that we are looking at more closely, the fact that in reading and math in both 4th and 5th grades 75% of our students are at or ABOVE grade level average is OUTSTANDING!
