In place of Five For Friday: A Reflections at the One Year Mark of the Pandemic.

Last year, on this day, I was standing in the hall after students left talking to Dayne Fletke about his new house. Teresa Michalski came out and asked if I had seen the email stating that field trips were on hold until further notice. I had not, but within 4 hours I was watching the Governor's press conference informing us that schools were closed for in-person learning. A lot has happened since that evening. In looking back this Friday, I can't let the day pass without mentioning a few things.

Kids are Resilient-It's impressive to see students every day in-person at Page. Our students have weathered this storm amazingly well. While there are standard ups and downs, I cannot believe how great our students are doing. Their progress is incredible in light of everything that has happened.

This Community is Great-From Distance Learning Packets and Drop-off Bins last Spring to masks, crazy drop off and pickup procedures this year, the families of this community have handled a steady stream of curveballs like MVPs. THANK YOU

TKProud-There's not a principal more proud of his staff. Every single staff member here has gone above and beyond. Everyone has stepped up, pitched in and risen to the occasion. Transportation, grounds, maintenance and custodial have kept things running smoothly during construction, during a pandemic. Our Food Services has continued their excellence for both in-person and virtual. Our teachers and support staff have been phenomenal at working with our kids and giving them a sense of normal in a year that has been unlike any other.
